About The Author
Dr. Galves received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Union Institute in 1997 and became a licensed psychologist in Colorado in 2001 and in New Mexico in 2015. He has provided psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples and groups in mental health clinics, community health clinics and public schools.
He has been a patient as well as a therapist. He first went into therapy at the age of 25 in the throes of severe depression. Since then, he has been graced with the help of ten different therapists and has learned valuable lessons from a personal growth program and numerous training programs.
He has a Bachelor's Degree in Government from Cornell University, a Master of Government Administration Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has worked as a local government administrator, organization development consultant, college instructor, gerontologist, actor and singer.
He lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico with his wife Nancy. His son Andrew is an actor living in Los Angeles with wife Kelli, daughter Maureen and son Lex. Daughter Becca works at New Mexico State University and lives in Las Cruces with her daughter Aurora.
